FESTIVAL FUNDRAISER
IS LAUNCHED!

We have officially launched our fundraising campaign through our fiscal sponsor, Fractured Atlas, to allow tax-deductible donations! Any donation you give brings us closer to establishing a foothold for our festival in New England, and helps us secure venue rentals, VISAs, accommodations and transportation for the artists. Donations can be made at any time for any amount on our general support page, but we are also offering rewards as part of our fundraising campaign

AUG 9  EAST COAST TOUR BEGINS

This summer brings together our communities of New England and Jerez de la Frontera. This year's tour includes a two-act theatrical flamenco story, a collaboration between local flamenco artists and dance academies, and a week-long immersion course at the Brookline Music School, featuring three outstanding flamenco artists:

Saray Garcia, bailaora

Juan Zarzuela, cantaor

Juan Junquera Cortes, guitarrista

AUG 12-16

¡FLAMENCO! SUMMER WORKSHOP

Finally, interested and promising students alike have the incredible opportunity to study and participate under the guidance of flamenco masters across three disciplines: guitar, dance, and song.

All students will begin the day with 'compás y palmas', clapping the quintessential rhythms of various 'palos' and learning to play with phrasing and dynamics. Students then have the chance to take focused workshops within their respective discipline, guided by a flamenco master from Jerez; guitarists will study with Juan Junquera Cortes; singers with Juan Zarzuela; dancers with Saray Garcia. Finally, each day students will also have the exciting opportunity to support and accompany one another in an ensemble setting, learning to play and improvise in flamenco.
